Affiliate Marketing Beginners
Before jumping into the process of an affiliate marketing online program, there are a few different areas that you will need to know and learn about. We have broken them down for you below, along with the importance and setup options for each.
In order to achieve any level of success, you need to have a starting point which is your Goals
Success is not all about money and it shouldn’t be your only motivation, but for many of us, the money part does matter a little bit. Because of this, I want you to take a few minutes and really come up with some tangible money goals.
On a sheet of paper make sure you answer ALL 3 of these goal questions and also make sure to elaborate on these answers. Please feel free to Post these goals in the comments section below if you would like to share or receive feedback.
#1: How much money would you be comfortable with earning?
#2: What would you like to accomplish with more income?
#3: And how much TIME are you willing to invest to achieve these goals?
Most of us are in such a rush to become rich that we end up like the hare, instead of the turtle. Please refrain from saying you want to be successful within a week or a month, because if you do this, I can honestly say you are setting yourself up for failure from the get go. MLM, Internet Marketing, and affiliate marketing should NEVER be considered “Get Rich Quick” and if you see or create an ad that makes it sound like it, you are fooling yourself and lying to your potential prospects and affiliates.
Be realistic, but at the same time shoot for the stars. If you come up short from BIG goals, you have still reached greatness.
I look forward to hearing everyone’s feedback and please do take time to immerse yourself within the goals.
Niche Market Ideas List
A niche is a segment of the market for which you are selling or promoting. (This site’s niche would be Affiliate market training).
You will want to come up with a list of hobbies, or ideas that are important to you. What would you want a website to be about, what would you be happy promoting?
If you happen to be struggling with this part, you can join my Personalized Mentoring Program and I will help you figure out what Niche you want to go in. If you already have an affiliate program that you are already a part of, I will help you figure out what Niche it is in.
Website, Domain Name, and Hosting
Having a website or domain name is essential to you being an affiliate for any program or service. The website is essential so that a consumer can get to you and your product more efficiently. On the other side of things, when you have your own website, the odds are extremely higher than if you were to promote straight from the Affiliate Program itself. You need a place to be able to place your affiliate links or your specific products.
The website program that I use is GDI, which offers you to choose your own customized name, but you can build up to 5 WordPress sites (unlimited pages) and they host your websites for FREE. You can take a look and compare GDI with other Domain providers like GoDaddy but make sure you check out the prices per domain name and the amount they charge for hosting. (I also have to mention that with GDI, they have a compensation plan as well for using their service)
The autoresponder gives you customers who OPT IN to continuously receive ideas, tips, newsletters, etc. from you. This is where you begin your list building. There is a popular saying through almost any and every training course “The money is in the list”.
With the autoresponder you can set up a series of letters to be sent out at specific times, to the people who join or Opt-in to your list. As you can see on the side bar right there to your right, you will see an opt-in form which will put you into a list that will automatically send you weekly newsletters about tips and tricks to affiliate marketing.
The autoresponder letters can be updated or added to at any time, and this is how you can set up your business and pretty much forget about it, depending on the niche you will be working in. For myself, I like to personally work with the people who sign up for my training program, so only a portion of my business has been set up to forget.
To Finish Up
As you can see, because the website and autoresponder is essential to my own affiliate marketing business, I chose only progams that I not only need, but also provides me with that added extra income.
